Frame
To gaze upon the moon and stars
To peer between the iron bars
To stare out into skies with clouds of white
To taste the salt from by the sea
To hear the rushing waves break free
Caress the faded outlines of your heart
To take and grip the cage’s frame
To pull
To push
With all your might
To wrench the bars apart
Your breaths run ragged
And walk out to the shore
