Nick currently lives in Sendai, Japan. He studies at Tohoku University.

He speaks fluent English, Japanese, French, and Russian. He is also conversational in a handful of other European languages, and is learning Chinese.

He has worked on a plethora of projects with clients from all over the world in all four of his languages. He has a diverse range of skills, regularly working as a narrator, sound engineer, editor, writer, and tutor.

Nick has been a full-time, professional freelancer since early 2018. He moved to Japan in Spring 2024 to prepare for university, and moved to Sendai in Spring 2025 after being accepted in Tohoku University. Albeit in a more limited capacity, he has started reopening to offers for work starting in 2025, to continue working on projects and support his studies.

If you’re interested in working with Nick, want to pitch a project, would like a quote or a demo, you can get in touch via the contact page.

Nick enjoys reading and writing, some of which ends up on the blog page or among the poems. He is passionate about linguistics and languages, particularly Japanese: passing the highest level of the JLPT (N1) with full marks in 2024. He has multiple other certificates of proficiency in Japanese, of note the Kanji Kentei (Kanken) at the pre-1 level (which tests roughly 3000 kanji) as of November 2024. He aims to and is studying to eventually pass the highest level of this exam.

He also has several podcasts you can find on this website or Spotify, Apple Music, and more. The Staring at Clouds Podcast, which is a scripted meditative narrative to help people relax, published in 2020. And the Untitled Serendipity Podcast, Nick’s unscripted podcast for sharing facts, ideas, and narration of flash-fiction or short stories from 2023, that has been revived in May of 2025.

Nick loves to move, hike, the outdoors, and is regularly lost somewhere in the woods or in the mountains. You can find occasional uploads from his hikes or other adventures on his social media pages. Most of the pictures on this website were taken by Nick. He always tries to make time to see the sunrise or sunset.

More than anything, Nick loves to learn, and is always looking to expand his knowledge in a variety of subjects. One of the great perks of being a narrator is the access to a wide range of different books and content to discover!
