Nick enjoys reading and writing, some of which ends up on the blog page or among the poems. He is passionate about linguistics and languages, particularly Japanese: passing the highest level of the JLPT (N1) with full marks in 2024. He has multiple other certificates of proficiency in Japanese, of note the Kanji Kentei (Kanken), at pre-1 (which tests roughly 3000 kanji) as of November 2024.

He also has several podcasts you can find on this website or Spotify, Apple Music, and more. The Staring at Clouds Podcast, which is a scripted meditative narrative to help people relax, published in 2020. And the Untitled Serendipity Podcast, Nick’s unscripted podcast for sharing facts, ideas, and narration of flash-fiction or short stories from 2023, that occasionally sees new episodes.

Nick loves to move, hike, the outdoors, and is regularly lost somewhere in the woods or in the mountains, especially on Sundays. You can find occasional uploads from his hikes or other adventures on his social media, links here. He always tries to make time to see the sunrise or sunset.

More than anything, Nick loves to learn, and is always looking to expand his knowledge in a variety of subjects. One of the great perks of being a narrator is the access to a wide range of different books and content to discover!
