The Hum

The lights of the stars fill the skies to the brim
And on cloudless nights we can look up at them
And seeing the pinpricks that pepper the sky
We're one with the galaxy, just for a time

But when it is cloudy, or day, or indoors
We're taken away far from their cosmic shores
So I'll teach you a trick to remember their light
To always recall how they shine, far and bright

Get yourself comfortable
Find somewhere quiet
Then -- here's the trick --
Keep yourself still and silent
Scatter the clouds that are formed in your mind
Look for the knots and then feel them unwind

Then, when you're feeling like all that is done
Listen in close
As the universe hums
