Snowshoes

Just for a few moments

A splash of sunlight illuminates

A patch of snow

Through the dark green and white

Pines

It glitters

And comes to life

A puddle of frozen magic in the snow

Immaculate, perfect

And the grey clouds

Rushing over a field of clear blue

Up

Far away

dropping snowflakes

Sprinkling down

Dancing and flying

In the brisk strong wind

Block out the sun once again

I freeze for a while

To see it once more

My feet are cold

I forgot my snowshoes at home

I'm glad that I did
