Life’s a Collection

Life’s a collection
Of flashes
Of sparks
Immersing yourself into music or arts—
Or picking some flowers just off of the road—
Or watching a faraway star just explode—
You can fill it with grandeur
Or fill it with pebbles
Or decorate it with all sorts of apparel.
Some people watch movies
Some read
Some do sports
And some like to drink coffee cocktails in shorts.

There’s so much to life
There’s so little!
“So, what?”
We strain to enjoy it
We stammer,
We rut.

What’s the point? You may ask
Well the point is – there’s none.
You search for a million
In search of just one.
But what we forget
And remember we should,
Is amidst the regrets,
There is so, so much good.

The memories made
And the moments we feel
We do have them – in spades!
And they’re all there, and real!

It’s over in seconds
And takes years to finish
This thing we call life
We don’t get to replenish

So enjoy it
Or try to,
The memories here
Aren’t just for show,
Aren’t just yours to bear.

So enjoy it
Enjoy it!
Simply,
Because
Life’s a whole lot of ‘could be’
But it’s a whole lot more ‘was’
