When the words flow like honey
A constant drip-drop
It feels like it's perfect,
My world comes to a stop.

Then I go back and edit
And forget what I meant
What did I want here?
Hm, that's not it.

But that's just the thing,
Is it not?
To look back?
To grasp straws at a feeling you've lost
Line gone slack.

Because even though that there feeling is gone
Its echoes remain far beyond the next dawn.
So grasp, go back to it.
And edit, and fix.
And hold onto the feeling that you're doing things.

It's good to go back and it's good to continue.
The main thing is that you are writing what's in you.

Keep doing that, and revising, and edits.
It's better to do, than just leave things unsaid.
