Writing Challenge Day Seven. One week achieved!
Consistency is key, but I think that it would be important to my general schedule if I set myself a minimum of only about one or two hundred words on the weekends for the writing challenge. Either way, I’m in the middle of a move! Or so I keep telling myself—I haven’t been doing too much about it just quite yet, since it took so long to confirm anything. But I know that shortly, I will be getting to that ‘oh damn’ moment. It hasn’t sunk in at all that this is my last week in this apartment. I’ve lived here for three years. It’s unbelievable both how slowly, and how suddenly things change. On the one hand, I’ve been preparing for this for a little over a year now. On the other, wow it’s all happening so fast.
It’s a mix of emotions for sure. Before I get to any of that though, I’m just happy that I’ve been able to consistently stay on top of this writing challenge in the whirlwind of everything else going on and happening. My days have very much been spent in starts and stops as I suddenly get heaped on a bunch of stuff to do, or suddenly find myself not busy at all.
I’m not used to these extended periods of uncertainty moving into change, but everything takes practice. I’ve already gotten better at dealing with parts of it, so now it’s just a question of living through the whole experience and learning from that. I hope. Fingers crossed.
What ended up being three hundred words passed by in an instant. It’s surprising to see and feel the difference between day one and day seven. I’m certainly seeing the consistency pay off.
